A Creature from the Depth

 

 This is a character and environment design project. Under a post-apocalyptic theme, I wanted to created a mutated creature that fits within a survival-horror setting. In the world where this creature exists, many of the human civilizations ceased to exist or destroyed due to the many massive earth fissures that occurred all over the world. As the remaining humans clustered together in the areas that are still habitable, these creatures appeared from the depth of the fissures and began attacking humans.

The end result includes a 3D character model with customized rig, an environment created under the same concept, and a set of still images rendered from those two components, made with the mood and the narrative of the concept in mind.
