HOME

“What makes a place feels like home?”

HOME is an immersive experience designed to provide a soothing experience to those who are required to travel far from home. The project was created using the combination of Unity and Maya, which was then recorded into a video for easier usage, since the prime interaction of the project isn’t about the user touching the keyboard like game, but rather to form an emotional and personal engagement with the piece. The experience is intended to be experienced from a screen, which can be a computer screen, as well as the scene projected onto a flat surface. While the user can sit in their most comfortable position, bundled up in a blanket (or blankets) and let themselves become immersed in the experience, the experience becomes the transportation that leads them where they want to be: home.

Note: The project combines both my own 3D models as well as some from the Unity Asset Store.

The assets created by me include the rooms, the windows, the curtains, the bed, the pillow, the blanket, the lights, the shelves, the lamp, and the pictures.

The assets from the Unity Asset store include the trees, the potted plants, and the butterfly.
