My Roles
Game Design
The main challenge when making this game was the time constraint against the amount of clothing options that had to be varied enough to keep the dress-up engaging. I used my experience as an art director to design how the clothes and accessories should be categorized in a way that both makes the game enjoyable as a dress up game (endless possibilities of combinations & unlockable choices), but also realistic with the timeline that we had.
UI/UX & UI Art
The dress-up UI took inspirations from 2000s-2010s dress-up games, but with more diegesis to place the interface itself into the game’s narrative.
The challenge was how to present the items options without using rows of buttons like a character customization page – hence the closet and mannequin interface.
